🎫 Yatra Registration / Yatra Parchi Guide 2026 — Online + RFID

Yatra Parchi is the free registration of the Shrine Board. Without it you cannot cross Ban Ganga check-post. It records your name, group size, date and time. It helps control crowds and keeps a count for safety. When the 50k daily limit fills, counters close early — so taking it online in advance is safest. An RFID card is also issued with the slip for tracking. Separate slips are made for elders and children. Keep an ID proof with you.

Open only the official site maavaishnodevi.org. Go to Yatra Registration / Yatra Slip section. Choose date, time slot and number of yatris. Fill name, age, gender and photo-ID number of each yatri. Aadhar is the best ID. Submit and download/print the slip. Keep 2 print copies — one in bag, one in pocket. At Katra show the slip at RFID counters (railway station, bus stand, Niharika Bhawan) and collect the RFID card. Never pay on fake sites — the slip is free. RFID cards are issued at Katra counters: railway station, bus stand, Niharika complex and near Ban Ganga. Show online slip + original ID. Keep the card around neck or upper pocket for scanning at check-posts. If lost, inform the counter immediately. Deposit the card on return — do not throw it. Keep cards of kids and elders yourself. RFID matters more at night when counting is done by scan.

Fee: the slip is free (TODO: verify — check official site for any convenience fee change). ID: Aadhar / voter ID / passport for every yatri. School ID or Aadhar for kids. One person can take slips for the group but IDs of all are needed. A slip is valid only for its date. Start at 4-5 AM for shorter lines. Liquor, non-veg and leather items are restricted on track. Rules change — check official site 7 days before travel.

Biggest mistake: paying on fake heli/room/parchi sites. Remember — slip only from maavaishnodevi.org. Never pay via WhatsApp links. Second: wrong date entry — double-check. Third: duplicate names — caught in scan. Fourth: no print — phone battery can die. Fifth: forgetting ID. If an agent demands money for parchi, refuse and report on /scam-alerts.
